As part of a tender process we were ask to present designs for the refurbishment of the offices for Singapore Tourism Board on York Street, Sydney.  The brief from the client was that they were looking for more efficient utilisation of the office space; to enhance the entrance/lobby & pantry area and to create break-out areas within the office.

We wanted to capture the essence of Singapore and research found that Singapore is fondly referred to as ‘The Little Red Dot’.  As we believe that a strong entrance is a great welcome to your patrons, we chose to reflect this fond moniker in the reception area by creating the entire space in red even hoping to commission a piece by Singaporean artist Jane Lee.

In terms of the floorplan, we looked to create space that has movement away from the boxed in typical office layout.
